http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/07/31/media-matters-to-run-adds_n_249078.html Media Matters claims it has bought airtime on Lou Dobbs' CNN show in order to refute his apparent backing of the "birther" movement. Are they going too far? Are they playing into Dobbs' hands by essentially paying for adtime and sponsoring his show? Should anyone be concerned with what Lou Dobbs has to say on CNN when his comments were on his radio show?

Hey, they drew 2000. Not sure what they said since I wasn't facing little league world series traffic. LOL it was hard enough getting into the super market yesterday.

They're having a "tea party" here either today or tomorrow. In a park near the little league world series finale. It's a REALLY horrible choice since town is already over populated with tourists and trying to get fire and police to be in that park when they're needed elsewhere, well, yeah. They want to make a statement. Not sure what statement they're trying to make other than "we're angry" but my barber has assured me that it'll be a "bit hit."

Are the birthers just trying to throw the longest "hail mary" pass in human history? What could they be doing with their time instead?

I would think that all self-respecting Repubes should be quashing this shit with all of their might, and INSTEAD, refocus their efforts on the MANY more productive issues that are out there. Even for you guys, this issue is SIMPLY STUPID! REALLY NOW! Do the REAL liberals now have to do your research for you TOO? DaN

The birthers are heretics to republicans, atleast that's the general consensus, like Peta is to the left. Honestly, their are many Americans without birth certificates, either never issued (usually old folks only) or lost. The state Health Dept. can re-issue a new one if they are archived. I Bet our president enjoys knawing on a juicy chunk of primerib from time to time. -- Edited by 56it at 08/28/2009 1:37 PM PDT

Nah! Of course not! But I (for one), DEMAND TO SEE PROOF ANYWAY! WHY? No particular reason, other than I'd LOVE TO SEE THE LOOK on a ~150M +/- White Conservative faces when they finally take a look. I'd PAY (A LOT!)to see that moment! Repubes, ARE YOU FEELING ME? DaN

Well, the logical response would be to DEMAND a PUBLIC EXPOSITION. Wanna bet that might change the terms of the debate, especially among aging white members (literary connection ENTIRELY implied) of congress? Sometimes, things just fall into your hands, er, lap. BE GLAD! DaN
