Sunday night is just around the corner. Post reactions to the first episode of True Blood Season 2 HERE. When the fans speak, HBO listens. Your reactions just might make it on the air. To improve your chances of having your quote used on air, please be succinct and keep all 'full length' conversations in the episode thread. Thanks and happy watching!

The show established in the first scene of the pilot that it's happening post-Katrina. It was in the scene at the convenience store. ~Lou

I'm deflated. The most thought provoking, well written, well acted episodes in the whole two seasons were reduced to a dream and a flip comment by the worst actress in the series. "That blows" she said. That blows! Well, yes it does!

Just a side point: Based on a line in one of the books, I think I know why the Queen is selling V. She doesn't want anyone to know because it's illegal and it doesn't look good for a Queen to be selling her kind's blood. But, considering her expensive tastes, she needs a lot of money to keep her happy. Hurricane Katrina and the devastation of New Orleans (big place for vamps) has caused a big loss in revenue. (I'm surprised that Katrinia hasn't been mentioned before in the series, unless I missed it).

First off I am glad L didn't try to rape Sookie (afterall she can make you do things you would NEVER do lol) and I liked how they killed Maryann. I mean let's face it we were all getting sick of her to quote Lorena blah blah blah then 10 minutes later BLAH! I thought is was sweet when Sookie asked Bill to hold her for 40 minutes I thought the middle part of the epi sucked... I don't like the direction they are taking Jessica in! I want her to be sweet and to be with Hoyt...not a patholigical liar not to mention a skanky whore!!!!! I love Bill but the timing SUCKS!!!!!!!! You do NOT propose the day after all hell breaks loose!!!! Poor Bill looked heartbroken when Sookie ran to the restroom...my husband said "if he wasn't already dead his heart would stop beating" I for one can't wait till next season however I agree that parts of this episode SUCKED!!!!

Someone else posted that all these episodes have been taped for awhile, before all the disappointment some of us have expressed. Maybe AB will listen to the masses, or large percentage anyway, and next season will be better. Fingers crossed.

This show has gotten downright ridiculous! The books are absolutely wonderful and all the nonsense they have been adding in is ruining them. I enjoyed the first season (minus all the crap about Jason and his girlfriend) and a few episodes of this season ... now I'm not sure I'll even bother watching season 3. They really butchered something that could have been great, it's a real shame.

but some of the episode just seemed a little far fetched to me... it didn't have the same effect that it had at the end of season 1 finale.. part of it is that they should have 2 hour season finales

The season two finale was everything I was hoping it wouldn't be..... I'm glad I have months to decide if I want to continue to watch the total mutilation of Charlaine Harris's otherwise delicious books. The actors/actresses are top shelf so the blame doesn't lie at their feet. I'm at the point where I wish someone would have made movies out of the books instead of this crap.... I honestly don't think I'll even miss the show over the months to come, I have a lot of thinking to do.....
