As owner and operator of the local hole that bears his name, Sam holds a front-row seat to all the small-town drama of Bon Temps, whether he wants it or not. As a private guy himself, he tends to stay out of his patron's and staff's personal lives, but a protective streak -- particularly when it comes to Sookie - occasionally places him in the midst of strange events that are starting to unfold at his bar.

Just got to watch this episode and boy do I feel drained! Too much "edge-of-your-seat" drama!! LOL
I'm glad that Sam has now revealed himself to more than just Sookie (if he ever does explain it to Andy and Jason that is); and seeing his buns again was an added bonus!

I feel for Sam. The guy has the worst luck and during the first season I thought that the bad luck was only on Jason. Jason has nothing on Sam.
IMO in season one sam was a total douche....he wants sookie but sookie doesn't want him...so he sleeps w/her best friend...and he still tries to pursue sookie while still sleeping w/her best friend!!!.....

thisbloodis4u, I won't be able to see any episodes until October since I'm overseas. So once I can play catch up, I'll start adding the Sam love to the thread. so keep giving them heck and lovin' Sam.

Sam's one of the best actors on this show - him and Rutina. Very subtle, powerful acting, and oh yeah, he's a BABE.

I prefer scruffy looking Sam - even when he's well put together at an event.
So glad no one tried to swat him when he was in fly form.

Just watched Sam Trammell interview on FOX Greta Van Sustern. He looked different clean shaven with his hair combed back. He said season 3 filming will commence in December. 4.4 million viewers watched last Sunday's episode according to FOX crawl. Sam said he would shift into something large and something small this season. Someone should warn Bud Dearborne.

Why does maryann want Sam?
has she been looking for him all these years or just happened on him lately and now wants him back or dead,
if she has such powers I'm sure she could have found him a week after those long ago flas backs
and does she want to control him or sacrifice him or what?

Plus with the Tara and Sam thing... I think Sam hurt Tara... Tara knew that him and Sook kissed and TRIED to hook up when Tara was gone and nobody knew where she was at! So she set him free so he can be with Sook. If Sook didn't want Sam they would BE together now!

Hmm isn't everyone connected to Bon Temps because it's a SMALL TOWN! Everyone is connected!

michker - If you want to blame someone and single a person out for bad luck...
Why did Sam hook up with Tara to begin with? BILL! He stole Sam's crush.
When was Sam going to tell Sookie how he felt about her? Right before BILL walked in!
Why did the vamps almost kill Sam in his own bar? Looking for BILL!
Why doesn't Sookie come to work anymore? BILL! Fooling around with vampires now she's involved in vampire politics.
When Sam tries to kiss Sookie, all he gets is kissus interruptus because of BILL!
Why did Sookie get scratched that night? BILL!
What man lets his woman walk down a dark country road by herself at night?
Why did Jason get priapism? V which comes from vampires like.....BILL! LOL!
I could go on and and on, but it's just as crazy as blaming Tara for Eggs going after her. Or blaming Tara for Ms. Jeannette helping her by conning her out 800 bucks and getting killed.
By the way, I do like Bill - but that's how easy it is to blame him for all the bad stuff.

What TROUBLE is jason in that is caused by maryann. he has not even met maryann so how can tara be responsible for jasons trouble. I am just taliking about the people directly impacted by tara who can be traced back to maryann.
