Ok .. Decided ... what the hell and am now reading the first two books. Of course, I skipped straight to when sookie meets Eric for the first time ( I know ... PATHETIC) lol But here is what kills me ... BILL all but offers Sookie to Eric stating he is more handsome, better at SEX and far more powerful than himself. WTF? LOL ... PLUSE ... bill listens to Kenny G. I have no idea why that just sent me into tears of laughter but it did. Where the hell is everyone? Been drained by vampires or what?

hotvampluv > (Although even her fantasizing about Eric at this > s point is moving things along faster.) >>>>>>Gonna correct myself before someone else has a chance to -- we DID by now have some REAL Eric/Sookie kissing at the orgy at the end of Book 2. While we can't say that actually caused her to fantasize about Eric, she DID comment on his skills in that area, and she DID reciprocate. So maybe that puts us at about the same place with their relationship??? (That's a real question, I don't know even know my own answer to that....)<<<<<<<<<<< Are you thinking of the scene where they were at an orgy if I remember correctly and Eric protectively had to get her out, lest she become too much involved in the goings on. He put on a show, kissing her, etc. But ...Sookie then told Eric that she was Bill's . Then from the darkness Bill said something like he couldn't be sure of that from what was going on, but he was glad to hear it. He seemed nonchalantly assured (which meant he didn't bare his fangs at Eric) she meant what she said. I saw no reason to put that fantasy of Eric in Sookies head, it wasn't even implied that she was doing anything but awarding him a Ph. D. in sexiness. -- Edited by alephbet at 10/23/2009 11:36 AM PDT

Agreed and I think the Eric/ Sookie dreams were just exquisite ... beautiful ... FAR surpassing ANYTHING CH has written in her books. " He kissed me ... and not on my lips" WHAT THE FUCK ??? Is she is 8th GRADE?? Pissed me way off.

We cant be at the same place one is a fantasy that has no action behind it and the other has been completed.

Book Eric has never declared his love for Sookie except when he 'wasn't himself" and even then he said " I COULD love you" So Sookie has no idea where he is. She KNOWS Bill loves her and regrets what he has done. The ambiguity is being used so CH can sell books. .. which I honestly don't have alot of respect for. AB will not let us have any clear answers and will keep us in the same state for ...years! Damn BOTH of them. I really don't care as long as Eric has Sookie sexually. Brutal but true.

I actually saw it more as him giving us a little bit of what we wanted (Eric/Sookie) without moving the story along faster than it did in the book. (Although even her fantasizing about Eric at this point is moving things along faster.) Ok, I've had fun playing, but I've got stuff to do! LOL Everyone have a great day!!!

I was so distraught about it not going the way it was SUPPOSED to go, I didn't get the details correct obviously. I really thought Bill had a role in that.

The dream is AB's way of f**king with us because he knew we wanted a sexual moment between eric and sookie which we had in the book because eric never made any bones that he wanted to sleep with her in the book.

Just. Not. > Right. Even more annoying. yeah ... i still trust AB. Wanted to ask since I did not read the first two books when is the FIRST time that Eric and Sookie hook up sexually? The reason I ask is because AB brought to us on screen Eric and Sookie in the "dream" because HE wanted to give the auidence an explicit "eric and Sookie" He didn't have to do that but he wanted to is my guess? Am I wrong or just not making sense at all?

NO hotvamp she was not drained on the show she was sprinkled with steaming water then ludwig ran her fingers in the wounds removed a nail and said you can give her the blood now then eric offered to give her his blood which bill refused i hated that entire episode. Because sookie was suppose to go into season three free of vampire blood. Because she was drained by all four vamps and given human blood.

AND....(sorry, now you've got me on a roll) One of the things that has annoyed me in the books is the whole "does Eric love her because of the fairy blood" thing. To me it's clear that his feelings run deeper than just that, but that ambiguity is annoying because of Sookie's constant double-guessing, and from the perspective of giving Bill lovers/Eric haters fodder to say he doesn't really love her. Perhaps AB is eliminating that ambiguity, and to me that would be a very good thing. Ok, I think I'm done....

Although, come to think of it, as mad as I was about Eric not being involved in Sookie's Maenad cure, I'm sort of liking the thought of it being a much more significant deal for Eric when he finally does have her blood. Others have speculated that he's not had her blood because then his falling for her is more "pure" than Bill (who would have fallen for her because of her blood). I also like that idea as well. So, I'm on a wait-and-see as far as my opinion as to whether or not this is a good twist. I can't help but think it benefits the Viking in the end, though, so we'll see....

> Ok .. now I get why everyone was so fucking furious. > ERIC gave blood to Sookie and AB turned it into the > scene where the Doc comes in and leaves out the blood > exchange. No, she didn't take Eric's blood, Eric took hers -- the vamps, under Dr Ludwig's orders, drain her of her poison-tainted blood (they all have to take turns because one vamp alone would ingest too much poison), then her bood is replaced with human blood (Eric drums some up somewhere, resourceful head vamp that he is). AB had Bill do all the draining himself. Just. Not. Right.
