I think we need a thread where nobody brings up the books or introduces spoilers, so here it is. The discussion here is about the show as Alan Ball presents it. Speculation is encouraged - based on the show. Spoilers, from the books or anything outside what HBO has shown us, are not. There are plenty of other threads for that. If you're new to these threads - WELCOME! Jump in and tell us what you think. -- I heart New York -- Edited by Marionj2 at 07/22/2009 5:38 AM PDT

I am sure Bill suggests it when they return from Dallas and Sookie is appalled to find Maryann, Karl and Eggs living in her house!

Found this on a Tribal Tattoo Website: As the origins of art are rooted in early cave paintings, so positive proof of Tattooing is obtained from recent discoveries of ancient frozen mummified remains of early man that are covered in Tattoos. Oldest Tattooed body known to date is that of a Bronze Age man who died over 5000 years ago. He was found frozen intact in an Italian glazier. Researchers where startled at close examination he was found to have both arms, legs and torso covered with elaborate Tattoos representing mythical creatures. 15000 BC ice age rock carvings show Tattooed figures, 4200 BC Egyptian mummies wear Tattoos. Archeologically validated works of art showing Tattoos started to appear about 30000 years ago. One must not forget that, with the exemption of mummies, all art on the Human body disappears into the fire or ashes along with its bearer.

Like you, Mila, I don't think the future looks bright for Eggs either. Even Laffy, after just laying eyes on him, regarded him as a kind of tragedy or waste...what was it? "Devil in a Sunday hat" or something like that? But who knows?

The Tattoos seem to be Tribal in nature - I thought Godric looked very "Lord of the Flies" like a wild boy when we first saw him - Now I think he looks very Y2K with his tribal tattoos.....Im confused and dying to see more of his character - I hope they dont keep him hidden away until next season I will die!

Possible, but it wasn't so easy to cross the Atlantic then. Hmmm - how far, exactly, can 1000-year-old vampires fly? Didn't the Anglo-Saxons tattoo themselves? I looked up the name Godric - it's old English, and means, I love this, "strong god." -- I heart New York -- Edited by Marionj2 at 08/03/2009 12:07 PM PDT

I also hope Tara got a clue from Arlene and Andy and I hope to God Sam tells Tara what he sawand that Maryann is after him - who know maybe Lafayette will save the day too!! -- Edited by BonTemps at 08/03/2009 12:06 PM PDT

Yea.. Andy cracked me up when he was chasing after Daphne (in her pig form), yelling "Hey, Piiig!!", pretty halarious. lol I feel sorry for him tho.. he really needs to solve a case. He used to piss me off.. but he has really grown on me lately. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "The more open my mind gets, the more evil I see"-Sookie Stackhouse ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Check out my True Blood vids!! http://www.youtube.com/user/NocturnaRaven http://www.dailymotion.com/nocturnavendetta
