I think we need a thread where nobody brings up the books or introduces spoilers, so here it is. The discussion here is about the show as Alan Ball presents it. Speculation is encouraged - based on the show. Spoilers, from the books or anything outside what HBO has shown us, are not. There are plenty of other threads for that. If you're new to these threads - WELCOME! Jump in and tell us what you think. -- I heart New York -- Edited by Marionj2 at 07/22/2009 5:38 AM PDT

True but, I believe she said that all Supes have to go to Maryann on their own. So I don't think Maryann was actually controlling Daphne. She was just cooperating with her on her own. I don't think I ever saw Daphne sportin' the black eyes (lol), so I don't think Maryann's energy was ever truly inside of Daphne. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "The more open my mind gets, the more evil I see"-Sookie Stackhouse ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Check out my True Blood vids!! http://www.youtube.com/user/NocturnaRaven http://www.dailymotion.com/nocturnavendetta

Hi Nocturna11: Good point about Terry being a supernatural. Question though, wasn't Daphne under Maryann's spell at one of the orgies? She mentioned giving in to Maryann at some point, allowing herself to be controlled by Maryann. Perhaps that is the case with Terry. When Terry yelled at Andy in the kitchen, right before he comforted Lafayette, he seemed to know for sure that Lafayette wasn't a suspect, right after he was seen cutting some veggies rather accurately. He also mentioned playing cops and robbers and mentioned Andy was the cop (making him the robber/bad guy). I may be reaching here but hey, you never know.

Shayelys03: **Speculation** We've touched upon Tara becoming pregnant by Egg's after the scenes at Sookie's house?? Could it happen? I hope not. -- Marleneemm~I tell it like I see it, I'll never lie to you. What you see is what you get~ but if I become your friend I'm your friend for LIFE!!

Has anyone talked about Tara becoming pregnant by Eggs (ovaries)? I apologize in advance for possibly missing this discussion.

Unicity - welcome! You've asked some interesting questions, and the temptation to answer them with book talk is really hard to resist. But I will... What is Godric? Well, he turned Eric, who was a Viking, so he was presumably in Europe a thousand years ago. And he is himself 2000 years old, which makes him born around the time of Jesus. (Interesting in itself.) So he would have to come from a civilization that was in Europe, maybe, 2000 years ago. That's all we know. Does anyone know anything about his tattoos? Do they tell us anything about Godric? And what about the name. Eric is a very Scandinavian name. If Godric is his "own" name, where would that come from? It sounds Old English to me. -- I heart New York -- Edited by Marionj2 at 08/03/2009 11:01 AM PDT

Thanks for your response. I thought I would be crucified for coming up with that one. I did a little research on werewolves online and Terry's PTSD came to mind when I read this: After returning to their human forms, werewolves are usually documented as becoming weak, debilitated and undergoing painful nervous depression. Many historical werewolves were written to have suffered severe melancholia and manic depression, being bitterly conscious of their crimes. I really think his character will shock us when it is all said and done! I too think there's more to terry.

Welcome, I used to skip the other threads and not comment because I too kept reading stuff I really didn't want to know yet or cloud the show versus the book. Now I speak here and everyone is probably thinking boy she never shuts up! Have fun here, we like it.! -- Mila Should I try to pretend not to want it?
