No, I honestly wouldn't leave my kid with Arlene. Pre or Post FotS. I guess it was kinda more of a joke than being a really serious suggestion. but i did a really poor job of showing that it was more of a joke. A lot of the times in the show, I wondered where the kids were. Arlene def won't be winning any mother of the year awards any time soon.

I actually used to feel sorry for Arlene because she made such bad choices, but NO MORE! Maybe Terry will accidently kill her during an Iraqi Flashback. Then Sookie can adopt Arlene's kids and Hunter can live happily with his dad. Even Sookie would be an improvement over Arlene....

ericrocks: You make a good point~Arlene's the last person on Earth that you should leave children with~I'm suprised that Coby & Lisa haven't been taken away from her.

But would you seriously EVER leave your children with Arlene, even without the FOTS stuff. She is a horrible mother and she just used Sookie. She wasn't a very good "friend".

HAHA!! Too bad Arlene sided with the FotS. She could have had her babysit to pay her back for all the times that she babysat Arlenes kids while she was off banging only-god-knows-who.

I don't think she will get Hunter until the end/near the end of the series though - it's too messy otherwise, she can't be running around trying to get killed and banging hot vamps on her kitchen table all night with a 4 year old in the house :P

You know, I've always had the feeling that Sookie will end up with Hunter also. The scenario that played out in my head was that someone found out about Hunter and tried to kidnap him. Then his daddy died protecting him. Hunter somehow hid or something...and then made his way to Sookie. That's probably pretty far fetched though. But. I do expect Sookie to start spending a lot of time with Hunter before anything like that happens so that he knows he's not totally alone in the world. I'm sure to a kid that can read minds, loneliness is not a distant feeling. Surely the daddy doesn't willingly give him up just because his gf thinks that Hunter is weird. I don't think that's a possibility at all. And he has to have some kind of significance. It will suck if Hunter's dad dies. But I think it makes the most sense.

> With Sam as the adoptive Daddy... LOL! > > I think these are all very good points ladies!!! > > -- > Edited by VixiVamp at 11/09/2009 5:54 PM PST I'm going to throw you a bone Vix I'm pretty well convinced that Eric is going to be King of LA by the end of the series. I can see two functions of this for Sookie's HEA - The first (and obviously my preferred option) is that she stays with Eric. The second is the she does end up with Sam. Eric either walks away because he's completely over her bullshit - which I can see him doing he will only take this crap for so long. Or else Sookie gives him the flick and chooses Sam. Either way, the E/S relationship reaches a natural conclusion, with Eric continuing to have her under his protection even though they aren't together. I can see him doing this - he is loyal to a fault and he is man enough to accept it if she chose someone else (how long did he watch her with Bill and just wait...). Sookie having Hunter would fit into both of these scenarios. This is the ONLY way I can see Sookie ending up with Sam. Sam simply cannot watch her back like Eric can, he doesn't have the connections Eric does, and he doesn't have half the intelligence or nouse either. Not to mention the fact that he is just not interested in that world outside how it directly affects him and his bar. Sookie will never be able to walk away from this world, but the next best thing would be to find a way to live safely within it and retain as much control as possible over her own life. If that is to be with Sam, that's the only way I can concede it might work.

> If hunter goes to live with Sookie will he be safe, > from other Vampires wanting to use him He's going to be alot safer with Sookie than not. Particularly if Sookie is with Eric - or even if she's not "with him", but Eric is in a position of power. Unless Sookie does something REALLY bad, Eric is always going to have her under his protection whether they are together or not. Hunter is safer in this scenario than he is with people who have no idea why he would be a target or how to protect him until he's old enough to fend for himself. Also, it's not just vampires who will have an interest in him. Just like Sookie, Hunter will be fending off the whole supernatural freak show. It's only a matter of time before they find about him. -- Edited by Aaine at 11/09/2009 5:18 PM PST
